Sometimes when I open the application it doesn’t show anything

Try closing and reopening the application, the passages should all appear normally. This is caused by the passages taking longer to load than the application can. We’re working on fixing this.

How do I keep track of my progress?

Create an account and leave it logged in on whichever device you use My Daily Bread on. You can be logged into as many devices as you want at the same time. Your reading will only be tracked once per day.

Is there a way to disconnect my account from a device?

Yes, if you are getting a new device or just want to disconnect your account you can go to the settings screen as indicated in the above question on creating an account and tap or click the Disconnect button to disconnect your account from the device without deleting any of your history.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, but before you delete your account be aware that this also deletes all of your progress and history permanently! To delete your account, follow the same process to navigate to the settings page as indicated in the above question on creating an account and tap or click the Delete button. Your account and all of your reading history and progress will be deleted as well.

I only see three sections at a time, can I go forward or backward, or see what’s coming up?

At this time no, the intention is to read just three short sections of the Bible each day, and by doing this daily after one year you will have read the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice. We are reviewing, however, the possibility of including the ability to go back over a week or so if you’re logged in and tracking your progress. Be sure to check back for updates on this.

Will I really have read the entire Bible in a year?

Yes! The developer has been following this same method of daily Bible reading since 2004. The ultimate goal is to grow closer to God through His Word, but sometimes something as enormous as the Bible can be intimidating…where do you start? There’s so much to read, and remembering any of it seems impossible. This method over time helps you digest the Bible in smaller pieces, making the task of reading the entire Bible easier.

Is there any specific way to read, or pattern to follow to make it easier?

The brain tends to remember things when done at the same time each day, and consistently day after day. Make a habit of reading at the same time each day, or as close to the same time of day as you can, but be consistent with your reading, and do it each day. Missing a day here or there is inevitable, but establishing that habit will train your brain and remembering whole sections of the Bible, not to mention passages, will become much easier.
